Nadal, the Emperor of Clay Strikes Again; Murray, the new #3

World #1, Rafael Nadal has made another statement to the tennis world by winning his last 30 matches on clay and winning 3 tournaments in 3 weeks. Reigning ATP World Tour Champion Rafael Nadal won a record fourth Internazionali BNL d’Italia title with a hard-fought 7-6(2), 6-2 victory over defending champion Novak Djokovic on Sunday at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 clay-court tennis tournament in Rome. Since 2005, Nadal has compiled an outstanding 147-4 match record on clay. How good is Nadal really on clay? Can he be considered the best clay-courter of all time? Time will tell as Nadal looks to defend his French Open title in the coming weeks.

The defeat for World No. 3 Djokovic means that he will be surpassed in the Rankings by No. 4 Andy Murray on May 11 when the 2008 Rome points drop off.

Talking about the rankings, do you think Federer will be able to maintain his number 2 spot? There are now 3 players that are battling for that spot- Murray, Djokovic, and Federer. We sincerely hope Roger can win at least one slam this year but given his recent performance, our personal pick to end this year at number 2 will Andy Murray.
